Fun Weekend for the Beau-Man!

This past weekend, Beau was able to spend all day Friday with his Nana and Den-Den, and Saturday with his Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Scott.  Since Mary was out of town and not able to have Beau Friday, my mom was able to help out!  Beau is definitely at the point where he knows that if he goes to Nana's house, he wants to ride the tractor or combine...and he will not let you ignore his wishes!  I think Nana had a very busy afternoon with Beau with watching Frozen, playing outside, and riding in the tractor.  Beau loved it all and told me all about it Friday after school!

My mom sent me this picture of Beau while he was waiting for his lunch Friday :)
Saturday, Joe and I went to the Civic Center to watch "Once" for a nice date night, and that meant Beau was able to have his Grandma Chelle/Grandpa Scott time!  Little did Beau know, that they were going to the lake that day!  Beau did a great job of staying by Michelle and Scott and watched them get their boating slip ready for the summer.  He keeps asking if we can go boating yet!

With our storm that came through on Sunday and no electricity all day/evening, we went out to Scott and Michelle's since they had a generator going.  Beau was easily entertained and kept telling me he needed to wear his sunglasses because it was too bright in the house--I think he was just used to our dark house since we had no lights :).

Easter 2014

Easter this year was filled with church, family, friends, and great traditions.  We started off this special celebration with attending our church's Maundy Thursday service.  Beau did a great job sitting through this service but couldn't understand why he could not partake in the bread and "wine"---someday! :)

I had taken all three kids--Beau, Banx and Bond--for a play date at Nana's and to give Brook a little relaxing time to get ready for church.  Since I will be having all the kids by myself this summer, I figured I might as well start practicing packing them all up in the car by myself.  I cannot wait to be with them all summer!

The rest of the weekend we were busy with family gatherings with all three sets of parents, and Beau loved the attention everywhere!  Joe's good friend, Cale, was back in town from New Mexico and stayed with us all week.  We kicked off the weekend by hanging out at Scott and Michelle's which had to include a game of pool--and Beau insisted on playing too!

Sunday, Beau did two Easter egg hunts and loved it.  He was good at being patient which normally isn't his forte, but was excited to get the  candy from the eggs.  He kept saying "I love my Easter bunny".

Such a change from last year's Easter bunny picture!

Progress of Baby P #2

While we do not have a nickname for this baby yet, we have several "inside joke" ideas :)  However, my students keep giving me names to call this baby and those names are very interesting to say the least!  Baby P is making great progress and we are right on track for his/her due date on October 10th.  Last week we had an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay (since I was at a high risk pregnancy due to our history).  We were able to see the baby kick, stretch, flip and it was amazing!  I started crying instantly :)  The baby's heartbeat was about 171 and was VERY active.  I have a feeling that this baby is a boy again!  Boy or girl, either will be wonderful, I am just praying daily to God that we have a healthy baby.  So often we take things for granted in life and I am trying very hard lately to not do that.  I am so excited for this baby and my belly has already "popped"!  Let the maternity fashion begin :)

Loved by Grandpas

It is no secret that Beau is just madly in love with his Grandpa Scott and his Papa.  He loves to talk about them all of the time at home and it warms my heart to know that he already looks up to them both!  I never was able to meet any of my grandpas, so I am very happy to know that Beau does already and has an amazing relationship with both of them!  However, Beau is even more fortunate with the aspect that he not only has two grandpas, but really three.  Den-Den has been an amazing grandpa figure in Beau's life and treats Beau like his very own grandchild, too.  Even though Den-Den is not blood, he certainly loves Beau as if he were and Beau loves him back just as much!  These three men are amazing men in Beau's life and I hope someday Beau realizes how blessed he is to have them all :)

Potty Training---CHECK!

It is no secret that Beau is DEFINITELY my child when it comes to his stubbornness.  Potty training has been a bit of a roller-coaster--Beau would have great days, and then not so good days.  I felt terrible last fall because he was definitely ready and wanting to be potty trained, but it was right when school started and then I wasn't home with him during the days to keep working with him, so he regressed---big time!  The past few months he would always do a great job going at home for us, but then not at daycare or other places.  Then all of a sudden last Friday, Mary told Beau that if he wanted to go outside to play with the big kids, he had to be a big kid and go pee on the potty.  And just like that, he was potty trained...I kid you not!  He has been in big boy underwear since Friday morning with NO accidents!  He finally went #2 today for the first time since Friday (he really had to go!) and I could not be more excited and proud of him!  So no more buying diapers!!! At least not until next October for Baby P #2 :)

It is funny because I kept reading all of these articles on "potty training boot camp" and they just are not for Beau.  I know my son better than any other mom out there and it was getting a little annoying to hear co-workers, friends and such telling me that I needed to do this with Beau to get him potty trained.  I just said "if it's not his idea, he will not buy into it!".  And I could not have been more right :)

Baby Pierson #2 Announcement!

Well, it is finally time to share our exciting news---we are expecting Baby Pierson #2 October 10, 2014!  Joe and I are beyond thrilled and just cannot believe it finally happened for us again!  We have waited a very long time for this baby.  We are so grateful and thank God for this blessing he has given us!  We told Beau a few weeks back that mommy had a baby in her tummy, and he will sometimes tell us "there's a baby in that tummy!", but when we ask if he is going to be a big brother, he will say "NO!".  So I'm not sure if he quite understands it all yet :)

Riding Tractors!

Beau absolutely loves to ride tractors!  For his birthday, Grandpa Scott and Grandma Chelle gave him his very own battery tractor.  Sunday was the perfect day for a ride outside :)
Yesterday I went to my mom's to make chocolate chip cookies to deliver to school ;).  While we were baking, Den-Den took Beau for a ride on the quad-tractor.  Beau was gone for over an hour and a half and was perfect the whole time!  Den-Den even let him "drive" on the way home!  I guess Papa and Den-Den will have a little helper this spring for planting :)

Fun City!

Last weekend Joe surprised Beau and I by taking us, along with my precious niece Banx, to Fun City in Burlington.  We also had a nice surprise of having Josh join us! :)  It was so much fun and the kids absolutely loved it!  We will definitely need to go back again :)
