6 Months!

Baine Joseph, I cannot believe you are half of a year old today.  Where is time going?!  You are the happiest baby I have ever seen.  Even when you are sick, or teething, you constantly smile and giggle at everything and everyone.  Your smile always brightens my day.  You love to jump in your activity center.  You always prefer to have someone help you stand, than to cuddle now.  You need at least two bottles throughout the night now!  We cannot keep you full!! You are getting so big, and I love seeing your personality start to shine through.

Right now:
-Wearing size 3 diapers
-In 6/9 or 9 months clothes
-Trying to crawl
-Can sit up on your own
-TWO teethe!
-DARK brown eyes, and lots of dark brown hair now
-Loves to sleep on your side
-If you are not in bed by 7pm, you throw a HUGE fit :)

Make-Up Day at Mary's

Beau is definitely the ladies man at Mary's.  The other day, Banx had brought her make-up to play with.  So of course, her and Mia wanted to put make-up on Beau and use him as their little "doll".  Joe was so proud :)  Love these three goofballs!!

Star of the Week!

Last week, Beau was "Star of the Week" at school.  He was so excited for this!  For his special day, he brought in Papa and She-She as his guests.  He loved showing them his favorite toys, who is friends were, and to have them watch him play.  It was even Hawaiian day.  So the outfit Papa and She-She brought back from Aruba worked out perfect :)

I am so proud of you Beau Paxton.  You are thriving in school.  You know your alphabet, you can recognize your name, you know how to count to 14, sometimes 17.  You can match pictures, draw circles and straight lines.  You are so caring of others and concerned for your friends' well-being.  If someone is ever gone or sick, you need to know all of the details to make sure they will be okay and be back tomorrow.  Even though you are so ornery, you are so sweet at the same time.  You are very sensitive and process conversations.  I love having long, adult conversations with you already.  You are so much fun to play with.  Your love for your little brother melts my heart, and I hope you stay this protective of him forever!

Sunday Sunday With "Bebub"

We normally have family fun day on Sundays at our house, and Caleb (Bebub according to Beau) was finally able to make it over since he had been gone so much lately.  It was the perfect day to sit on the deck and watch Beau play outside on his playground.  Caleb even had some quality bonding time with Baine :)

Tara's Bridal Shower

Sunday was Tara's Bridal Shower at my mom's.  She had a lovely party and was definitely showered with gifts :)  I am so excited for her and Clint's future together.  I could not be more proud and honored to be a part of their special day coming up!

Easter Bunny 2015

This year for the Easter bunny there were no tears...success!  We had to keep telling Beau the Easter bunny is nice, and our friend.  Once I told him the Easter bunny is who brings the Easter baskets, then he was excited to go see him.  I guess we'll have to see how long this "bribery trick" lasts :)

Easter Sunday

To start off Easter Sunday, the kids had an Easter egg hunt at church.  Beau was anxious to find his eggs and help Bond get his eggs too.  After church, we went to Grandma Betty's.  It was such a beautiful day outside.  The kids all played on their toys outside, playing in the water, and had an Easter egg hunt.

Beau is finally starting to ask questions about church.  I tried explaining God and Jesus to him, and that they love us all.  I don't think Beau truly understands, but I am excited that he is starting to show interest!

Praise the Lord, Christ Jesus lives!

Converse Easter

For the Converse Easter, we celebrated at my mom's house.  Beau had a riot outside playing with the cars and the new motorcycle Nana bought the grandkids.  Of course once it was too cold to play outside, he wanted Nana to make "fresh-clean popcorn".  The guys had their normal card game downstairs while the women had fun catching up while watching the Final Four.
Can you tell Beau and Anora are cousins? :)

Easter With Nana and Den-Den

For Easter at my mom's this year, she and Dennis took all of us kids to Meskwaki Casino.  The kids all loved going swimming!  Beau was right at home jumping into the pool and swimming all over.  We wanted to put Baine in the water to see how he would do, and just as we expected, he love it.  He sat on the steps and kept kicking his feet.  I am so excited to see him in the pool and lake this summer :)

Mr. Brown Eyes

I cannot believe how BROWN Baine's eyes are.  I really am enjoying having two boys completely opposite; a blonde hair blue-eyed boy, and a brown hair brown-eyed boy.  Who would have thought they would have looked so different?!  I love that they are each their own and have beautiful individual features.  Baine's eyes are getting darker and darker it seems, and his face is really filling out.  He is my little "beefcake" :)

Loves to jump!

Wedding Anniversary

For our anniversary this year, it was a little less of celebrating, and more of recovering :).  The night before our anniversary, Joe had come down with a nasty virus and we spent the night in Pella at Urgent Care.  So for the next three days, Joe was in bed and did nothing but sleep.  He spent our anniversary in bed sleeping, and I spent our anniversary by sleeping with the boys in their room, and after they fell asleep, I binge-watched re-runs of the Real Housewives of New York.  Normally, I would have thought this would have truly bummed me out.  But this year, I was perfectly content staying home with my boys :).  Joe and I are always on the go it seems, and hosting parties of some sort; it was nice to just stay home with no company and nothing to do.

Maybe we will celebrate our anniversary now that he is finally feeling better, or maybe we won't.  Either way, all I know is how grateful I am for everything we have had in our past 4 years of marriage.  Cheers to many more years!

Beau's First Trip to the Movies!

Last week, Grandma Chelle had asked to take Beau to the movie "Home".  I was a little nervous since Beau had never been to the movies before; I didn't know how well he would do sitting still for that long!  But, he was great for Michelle!  They had a LARGE bowl of popcorn and Beau was in Heaven.  He ended up sitting on Grandma Chelle's lap for the movie, and couldn't wait to tell me all about it!

Work Day With Daddy

Since the weather is finally getting nice, we have been working outside, finishing up Beau's fort, and getting the yard cleaned up.  Joe needed to get some dirt from Clint, and borrow the skid loader.  Beau was so anxious to go help daddy!  They road in the dump truck to Clint's farm, Beau rode with Clint in the bulldozer, and helped daddy on the skid loader.  Seeing that father-son bonding time is so sweet.  I hope Beau always wants to help his daddy (I could really think of some neat projects they could make for mommy someday!).

Baine's Giggles

Baine has the cutest laugh in the world---Okay I think that because I am his mom---but it is really cute :)  He is always so happy, smiles at everyone, and just loves attention.

Trains Everywhere!

Aunt Joi had found a great deal on a HUGE load of Thomas the Train tracks and brought them over the other day for Beau.  Oh my goodness, he has been so excited to play with "Aunt Joi's tracks" every night since then.  I think we need to dedicate one whole room in the basement just for Beau's train tracks :)
