Typical Day for Piper Around Here :)

Time with Grandma Chelle/Grandpa Scott and Papa/She-She

While Joe and I were gone on our Ozark trip, the kids split time with Scott and Michelle and my dad and Shari. It is such a good feeling to know Joe and I can sneak away for a trip and to know that the kids are being taken care of so well back home by grandparents--I will never take that for granted! Baine fished most of the weekend at the lake and even learned to take the fish off the hook himself. Piper baked cupcakes and frosted them with She-She. Beau played with new friends at the lake and enjoyed having "boy" time without Piper to bother him :)

Sweet Corn Season

It's that time of the year again where the boys are selling sweet corn. Baine has been wanting a 4-wheeler since his birthday last year, and Joe and I are trying to teach the kids if they want something, they need to work for it. Same as what we did for Beau getting his Switch (he had to earn the money for it). So, I made a deal with the boys. If they wanted a 4-wheeler, they had to earn/save enough money to pay for half of the 4-wheeler. They are only a couple of hundred dollars away from their goal, and Joe and I are so proud of them--especially Baine. He is working so hard and asking constantly what he can do to work and make money. Hopefully soon they will be riding a new toy around in the yard :)

Ozarks 2k20 Trip

Every year for the past few years, we have done an adults only trip with some of the cousins and our friends to the Ozarks. Since we finally have a bigger boat, we were able to bring it this year which made the trip so much more enjoyable. We loved boating up to pools and bars every day, coving out, and just enjoying time away together. Joe and I needed this trip to recharge our batteries, and we are already excited for the same trip next year.
