Another Weekend at Rathbun

Last weekend we went to Rathbun for the day boating with friends.  It is such an amazing feeling to know that not only does Beau LOVE his daycare provider, Mary, but we are good friends with her and Tom as well.  We spent the day out on the lake, tied up with everyone, and soaked up the sun.  While I must admit it is not so fun being at the lake while pregnant, Beau definitely loves being there so it is all worth it for him.  He loves to tell people "it's not Chelle's boat, it's my big boat!".  Oh Beau-man, you are so wrong son :).

Progress on the House

While sometimes we feel like this house is a never-ending project, Joe has made quite the progress on it lately with a little helper by his side :).  Beau decided he needed to help daddy "bammer" outside on the deck.  He kept saying, "mommy look, I'm bammering for daddy".  Priceless.  At one point, I saw Joe clip a tape-measure on his side pocket.  A few seconds later, I see Beau's underwear falling down and I couldn't figure out why.  The closer I got to Beau, I realized that Beau had grabbed another tape-measure and clipped it on his underwear too!  It was so heavy it was pulling them down :).  Oh how I love this little munchkin.

Finally, the back deck and underneath are coming along.  Quite the 180 from what it looked like 5 months ago!

Summer With the Kiddos

This summer has been quite stressful to say the very least.  With being a full-time student taking Master's classes, watching three kids under the age of three, and lets not forget being six months pregnant, I had my hands full.  Honestly, it wasn't watching the kids that made it so stressful, it was those darn classes!  But thankfully I am DONE for the summer, or for what is left of summer, before I start back up at the beginning of September.

Whenever I was getting overwhelmed this summer or thought I couldn't do it anymore, I would pick up my perfect nephew, Bond, and just cuddle with him on my bed.  Sounds so silly, but the comfort of a baby and seeing a true example of God's miracle in my arms just put everything into perspective for me.  Beau and Banx fought most days this summer, but lets be honest, it's because they are more like brother/sister than cousins!  And Bond is truly an amazing baby.  These kids put a smile on my face every single day.  And I never want to forget how much I love having all of them under my roof.  My house may get messy during the day, I may not make it out of my pajamas during the day, and I may have spit up in my hair at times, but the memories I made with these three this summer are irreplaceable.  I want Beau to look back on this post someday and realize that even though he was ornery at times, and they may have fought, him and Banx share a special relationship that will last forever.  It seems so special to me because that's how my cousins, Clint and Caleb, are with me.  We grew up together and once we were out of high-school, we have been closer than ever.  I hope Banx and Beau always stay this close :)

Boating at Aunt Joi's

The other weekend we went to Thunderhead to go boating at my Aunt Joi's house for the day.  However, if you ask Beau whose lake house it is, he will say "Bebub's!".  To Beau's surprise, his Nana and Den-Den were there too!  I love going to Thunderhead and just relaxing down there.  It is absolutely perfect for everyone.

As we were getting ready that morning to ride down with Clint, Tara and Caleb, Beau decided he had to dress himself.  This is the norm for him these days.  HE IS QUITE THE FASHIONISTA--or so he thinks :).
He just loves his Thomas rain boots :)

4th of July!

We made a little mini-vacation for the 4th of July this year by going to the lake for several days.  Needless to say, Beau was beyond thrilled to go stay on Scott and Michelle's boat---or should I say HIS boat.  He kept informing everyone on the dock that it was HIS big boat and Scott and Chelle kept taking it from him.  My, my, do we have some reality checks to make with Beau :).  While I had a lot of Master's work to do, we all still had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting away for a little bit!  We had friends come to celebrate and made a great weekend of it.  Beau did find a new love---the beach!  He did not want to leave the beach at all, and loved just sitting on a chair in the water playing with the dogs.  He is becoming more of a great "boating kid" every weekend we go to the lake :)

We ended the weekend by spending the day at my mom's pool.  As you can see below, Beau has a rough life.  He has a huge boat to stay on at the lake, and an amazing pool to swim at when we are home.  BEAU YOU ARE SPOILED :)
