Birthday Time With Dena

For my birthday, Dena took me to Riverside to the spa for the day. It was so sweet of her to take me there and treat me :) The last time Dena had been there, was when my mom took her and I there shortly before she passed. It was fun to reminisce on those memories of my mom and continue making new ones while keeping her memory alive :) Thanks for the special day, Dena Kay! I truly am blessed to have you as my Person :)

Goofing Around With Uncle Austin

Brook sent me this picture of Austin throwing Piper while we were taking family pictures at my grandma's last week. I love the pure love, joy and excitement this picture encompasses. She definitely is a dare-devil and loves it when her Uncle Austin throws her around :)

Piper's 1st Day of 2 Year Old PreSchool

Last week Wednesday, Piper had her first day of 2 Year old Preschool. I can't believe my baby is in "school" already! When I asked her how her day was, she told me "I went to school today. My daddy took me to school. Then my daddy weft me at school. I cried because my daddy weft me at school". It was so sweet, and broke my heart at the same time. Joe I think had a really hard time leaving her know shew was sad and wanted him to stay. She held on to his finger for dear life while he walked her in and had to sit next to her at her table. We are hoping this week goes better for her and she thrives with new friends! :)

Birthday Celebration

I still am struggling with the fact I am now officially in my 30's. I still don't think I'm ready to grow up ;) We had dinner with Clint, Tara and Shawn last weekend to start off celebrating, then had the football game Saturday, and then Sunday Brook and I treated ourselves to pedicures and a Target run. It was a great weekend and definitely felt the love from my family and friends!

IA/ IA State Football Game

To celebrate my birthday, we went to tailgate in Ames for the IA/IA State game. It was such a great day (even though it was raining all day). We were with all of my teacher friends--which means there is never a dull moment. Love these people so much! And to make it better, the  Hawks pulled off the win.

My Favorite Little Hawkeyes

They were excited for this picture----can't you tell?! ;)

DuraCrop's Open House

Joe had his open house for work last week, so Tara and I helped out with running the raffle and check in table. Baby Rees was perfect as always and I teased that he was in training already for future employment ;)

End of Boating Season

As our boating season has come to an end, we are already looking forward to next summer! It is our happy place for sure (when the weather cooperates at least). The kids all did so well this summer and even Piper was better at keeping her jacket on--so she is allowed to boat again ;)

Snuggles With Baby Rees

The boys finally were able to meet Rees the other weekend, and they both just love holding babies! Of course Piper needed her turn too, but I will admit, I am the biggest baby pig of all! Rees and I even decided to fall asleep together on the couch :)

Church Mini Golf Night

A couple of weeks ago was kickoff night for PowerKids at church. We had family night (Joe was home sick), so Aunt Dena tagged along for the fun :) It was a successful night  considering Baine didn't throw his golf club this time, and neither did Piper. Although, she did throw her ball a few times :)
