Farming Season

Beau absolutely loves to ride in the tractor and combine.  Now that it's harvest season, he is getting a lot of time in the field!  He spent the night with Nana and Den-Den last Friday, so he was able to be a good "helper" in the field.

New Tricks

Baine is trying to walk, and he wants to more than anything!  We quickly learned that Baine absolutely cannot stand the feel of grass.  So we have been putting him down in the grass, he will stand up on his own, and take one step and then crouch down because he doesn't realize he is almost walking!  I have a feeling any day now he will just come walking out of his bedroom in the morning!
On top of learning to walk, Baine is also learning to feed the dogs.  However I wish he wouldn't feed them his food all of the time :)

A Day With Thomas the Train

On Sunday, Joe and I took the boys to Boone to "A Day With Thomas the Train".  We rode the train, let Beau play in the bounce house, play trains, and of course, pick out a new train :).  Beau's expression and bright eyes of when we saw the train was priceless.  Even Baine loved the train ride!

Still My Baby

Even though Baine is 11 months old now, he is still, and forever will be my baby.  He has been really battling teething this fall, and his favorite way to relax is either to be rocked, or swing in his baby swing.  His feet hang over the edge, and our little "beef cake" is a little over the weight limit for the swing, but he still loves it.  See, he is still a baby! :)

Crazy Kid

Beau's personality is developing more and more everyday.  His latest thing, is that he likes to refer to himself as "master builder" or "professor Bob".  And "professor Bob" needs to wear one glove and wear safety goggles at all times.  Where does he come up with this stuff?!

Bedtime Stories With Daddy

Joe is truly an amazing, loving daddy.  He is so good with our sons.  He genuinely takes time everyday to get one-on-one time with them, makes them breakfast every morning, reads their bedtime stories, and even does most of the daycare with them since I am swamped with meetings and volleyball.  It won't be long until they are too big to sit on his lap for bedtime stories :(

My Kind of "Sunday Funday"

A couple of Sundays ago, Joe and I had Bond and Banx over since Brook and Austin were out of town.  They had been at my dad's all weekend, and I wanted them for a day (and to let the kiddos all play together).  The kids play so well together.  I cannot believe how big they are getting :(  Slow down time!  I wouldn't trade these days for anything in the world.

Autumn Acres

We went to the annual Autumn Acres family night with church, and as always, the kids had a great time!  It was a beautiful evening full of laughter, running around, and kids just being kids!

Weekends With Friends

Normally on weekends Billy and Emmy come over to watch a movie, football, or just to grill out.  Beau and Emmy get along so well, and he is always asking to see her.  Emmy is so good at being patient with Beau and playing with him, especially for being a little older.  I love seeing these two interact, and with Baine.

Football Season

It's that time of the year again....football season!  That means every Saturday and Sunday there will be a football party at the Pierson household.  Beau gets so excited for the weekends now, and he will ask us "is it time for my football party yet?".  Let the good times roll! GO PACKERS!

Iowa/Iowa State Game

This was Joe and I's first year being able to tailgate at an Iowa/Iowa State Game, since we've have kids.  We decided to make a little "early birthday" weekend out of it.  Caleb took his bus up to Ames, and we were on the road by 5:30 am!  Joe and I truly have an amazing relationship with my cousins, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.  We aren't just family, we're best friends.  And I hope we are setting an example of how close I want my kids to be with their cousins.

Joe, Caleb, Shawn, Clint, Tara, my mom, Dennis, and I had a great day tailgating!  We made new friends, met up with old friends, and just were able to relax!  The day was made by a big WIN for the Hawks :).

27th Birthday

I am quickly realizing that the older I get, the more birthdays AREN'T supposed to be as big of a deal anymore.  However, I still get so excited for birthdays and love sharing the excitement with the boys now.  Joe did such a great job of surprising me with a lovely night out with some of my close friends and my mom and Dennis.  After getting pampered and spoiled, we ended the night with pizza at the house so I could spend a little time with Beau and Baine.  Even though birthday presents are wonderful, my boys are by far the best gift in life I could ever ask for or want.  Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my special day :)

Amy Doerring does the most amazing pictures I have ever seen.  Every year they get harder and harder to chose from.  Thank you so much Amy for capturing amazing images of my boys :)

Beau's 1st Day of 3 Year Old Pre-school

Beau had his first day of 3 year old preschool on Thursday.  Since I have volleyball practice in the morning, that meant Joe had to get Beau ready for school and was in charge of taking his "first day" picture.  I was so impressed to see how creative Joe got with the pictures---and he did amazing job!  Thank you Joseph.
Beau was so excited to see Ms. Richelle again.  He absolutely loves school and is always anxious to learn something new.  Please, Beau, stay this way forever! :)

Like Mommy, Like Daddy

Is it clear which boy looks like which one of us? :)
