Toy Story is the New Cure

It is no secret that Beau's new favorite love is Toy Story.  He asks us every single day to watch it!  Beau has been battling a cold this week, and told us that he was sick and needed to go lay in bed and watch Toy Story. When I went in to check on him, I found him sitting on his chair--which he put on his bed--and watch clapping and singing to the movie.  Maybe he wasn't so sick after all?! :)

Spring Break!

Our spring break was VERY short this year, only a long weekend :(.  While we didn't go anywhere or visit the tropics like most people, we did make the very best out of our time together!  Beau and I went to the park and he just LOVES playing on the swing sets--which is why we need one ASAP! :)  It was also Aunt Brookie's birthday, so we spent Thursday night celebrating her special day with dinner at Nana and Den-Den's!  It was actually the first Saturday and Sunday in a LONG time that we had absolutely no plans, and just spent time at home and lounged all day.  It was just what we needed!
I absolutely love my job, and never thought I would ever want to be a stay at home mom, but after having Beau all to myself for this long weekend, it definitely made me realize even more that I wish I could spend all day with him!  He is at such a fun age right now and even though he is very ornery, he is getting to be so sweet!  Beau definitely knows what to say or how to act to get his way ;).  A lot of people complain about the "horrible 2's" and yes I agree, they can be horrible at times, I honestly just love this age Beau is at!

Seeing the Chicks and Bunnies!

Last week Papa and She-She took Beau to go see the chicks and baby bunnies.  Beau just stared at them with amusement they told me!  I was surprised that Beau never asked to bring one home--we dodged a bullet there! :)

After seeing the chicks and bunnies, Beau went to the greenhouse to help plant flowers.  He was a very big helper and actually enjoyed having the "chore" of watering the plants!

Riding by Himself!

Recently Beau has become very good at riding his bike (with training wheels) and tricycle by himself---he doesn't need pushed everywhere now!  Mary sent me this picture last week of Beau riding the tricycle around the house and he was so proud of himself! :)

Professional at Flappy Bird

Alex and Gina were over watching the ISU basketball game Saturday.  While waiting for the game to start, Alex gave Beau his phone to play with.  Quickly we realized that Beau not only loves Flappy Bird, but actually knew how to play--well!

A New Place of Dining?

While watching a movie with Uncle Josh this weekend, Beau insisted on eating his Mac N Cheese in the living room.  He may or may not have me wrapped around his little finger because of course I allowed this :)

Not Goodbye--See You Later

Our very good friends, Pat and Natalie, moved last weekend to Colorado.  While we will miss them terribly, we are very excited for them on their new move and begin a new chapter in their life out there!  One thing that is very touching, is that Beau is VERY fond of his "uncle" Pat.  After their surprise going away party at our house, Beau kept asking where Pat and Nat were.  I guess this just means we have a place to visit frequently now!

New Best Friend

Lately, Beau has been treating his teddy bear like a real person.  He loves to tell people that Mary Rielly gave him the bear.  At breakfast the other morning, he wanted the teddy bear to eat at his picnic table and kept saying "teddy bear put your feet up".  Then I looked over to see if Beau was eating his eggs, and found that Beau was actually feeding his eggs to his teddy bear.  I think Beau has a new best friend :)

First "Sneak Away" From a School Dance

The other week I helped chaperone Fun Night at the middle school.  As usual, I brought Beau with me to help entertain the students :).  Needless to say, he became a little distracted that night with Mia and I found them sneaking away from the dance together down the hallway!  Oh no, it has begun already!
