Reminiscing Times

While cleaning out a bag from when we moved to our new house (yes I am just now cleaning it out), I found a whole stack of letters and cards that I clearly wanted to keep. I found the scavenger hunt cards Joe sent me on for the day when he proposed :) And I found letters that Joe and I had sent each other when I was living in London. It brought tears to my eyes reminiscing on these great past moments.

Progress on the Basement

With baby 3 on the way, it was imperative that we finish our basement to add extra bedrooms and just have more room for all of our kiddos now. Caleb, Shaw and Joe have done such a great job, and I absolutely love our flooring! Beau even has been helping daddy work downstairs. He wants to always be part of the process and show me what he "helped" do.

New Babysitters

Since our normal babysitter, Aubrey, is so busy with senior year and sports right now, we needed a new sitter to help out. Kaylee and Abby are so great to our boys and they LOVE having them over. One of the perks of teaching, I am able to find good, trustworthy babysitters and really get to know them :)

Daddy's Work Buddies

With Beau's preschool schedule being crazy, Joe has been great about taking the boys to Jodee's and Beau to work with him before school. The boys thought it was fun that daddy had his truck and no carseats one day, so they were able to ride "dirty" to Jodee's. Although, at the end of the day, once back in carseats, they both zonked out and couldn't make the car ride :)

Joe's Trip to Colorado

Joe and three of his buddies went on a guy's trip to Colorado for 5 days last week. While Joe thought it would be a nice, relaxing trip, I think it was quite the opposite ;) They went hiking, mountain biking, sand volleyball and many other things I'm sure :)

Next DuraCrop Salesman

At the Pierson Seed dinner Joe had the other week, Beau wanted to ride his bike out by the plots while the customers were out checking different numbers. I think he is trying to help daddy sell seed :)

Heart Concert at the ISF

Clint, Tara, Shawn, Caleb, Joe and I went to the Heart concert at the fair a few weeks ago. It was a fun, long concert :)  I know the guys enjoyed it and really got into the songs, and honestly, seeing them let loose and having a good time made it worth it :)  Cheers to making it through another concert with this crazy crew!

Iowa vs. Iowa State Game 2016

I went tailgating for the game with Tara, Regan Caleb and Shawn (since Joe was gone in Colorado) and we met up at the Rielly's tailgate. It was such a fun day! A lot of our friends were there, the weather was perfect, and of course the Hawks winning 42-3 was the perfect end to the day :)  I love going to tailgates and games, especially with my family. I hope we are able to go to more this fall, even being pregnant!

Jodee's Daycare

Beau and Baine have such a great time when they go to daycare at Jodee's.  While we miss Mary, we just couldn't make our schedule work with hers. Jodee has been such a blessing to our family and we are so grateful for all she does for our kids! She has quite the crew when the "big kids" are there when school is out for the day. Beau loves playing with the big kids, but also loves when they are gone because he is her helper with the babies and he is the "big kid" when they're gone :)

Friday Night Lights

We took the boys to the Booster Club tailgate Friday night before the varsity football game. I was a little nervous that they would get bored and misbehave, but it was the complete opposite! The boys loved playing with all of the kids, and even played while we went into the game. Baine was perfectly content sitting on the hill watching Beau and the big kids play football. It was such a warming experience to see them exposed to that type of setting, and actually enjoying it. Joe and I can't wait to take them to all of the home football games from now on.

Overnight at Papa and She-She's

Dad and Shari kept the boys for me this past weekend while I went to the IA/IA State game, and Joe was gone in Colorado. I know my dad loves this time of the year because he can take the kids to the farm where they can run around, play and enjoy being outside! Beau and Baine absolutely love going to the farm with Papa! When they came back for nap time, all of the kids were laying down, or so they thought, and while dad was outside mowing, he had a peeper checking on on him. Baine opened his curtain window above his crib and just watched Papa mow. The picture is adorable! :)  Thanks again Dad and Shari! They kids had a great time with you!!

In Love With Regan

Clint, Tara and Regan come over the other night for family dinner and a movie. Beau absolutely is in love with her. He took to her right away, wanted to hold her as much as possible, and even wanted to put her to sleep.  As Beau was holding Regan in his lap, he put on the iPad.

I asked, "Beau, you don't need to play the iPad while holding Regan."
"Yes I do mommy, I'm playing a movie for her to help her sleep."

Which is exactly what he did. It was the sweetest thing ever!

Clow Family Day

Clow had their family picnic day the other weekend at the Nelson Pioneer Farm. They had pony rides, inflatables, face painting, food, and even a free ice-cream truck! Shari and dad were such troopers to take all four grandkids, but it looked like they had a great time!

Labor Day Weekend 2016

We spent most of Labor Day weekend at the lake, and to celebrate Josh's birthday. Joe and Beau took off Friday afternoon to go fishing, but came back that night for the first Osky home football game. The next morning, we all went to the lake and had a great weekend boating with the Rielly's and Voss crew---never a dull moment there :).  Joe and I both know that this was probably our last time boating for quite some time, given that next year we will have a newborn by the time boating season comes around and taking 3 little ones to the lake is not a realistic option :)  I'm glad we were able to get one last, good weekend in!

After coming home from the lake, we wanted to get one last use our of Nana's pool.  It was the perfect hot, sunny day for it! I already miss summer, but sure am ready for fall.
