Old Days of Beau

Joe was going through old photos in his phone and found this gem of Beau when he was about 18 months old.  Look at that hair!!!

Boating Weekend

We went boating this weekend with a few of our friends.  We decided to make it a mommy/daddy day so we could relax a little.  I am so grateful for our friends and the amazing times we have had together.  Cheers to many more!

Baine at 10 Months

Baine is now 10 months old.  We almost have a 4 year old and a 1 year old.  Please slow down time!  Baine you are STILL the happiest baby I have ever seen.  You always wake up happy, even with your crazy long, brown hair all over your face :).  Baine you love to chase your big brother around the house and you get so mad when you cannot keep up with him or do the things he is doing.  Don't worry peanut, you will be at his age before we know it!
At 10 months:
-EATING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!
-Slimming down from crawling everywhere
-Can stand on your own for a few seconds
-Trying to walk with push toys
-You have 8 teethe
-Loves to grab onto faces and kiss your nose/mouth
-Still sleeping 13 hours at night (such a good baby!)
-HATES a sippy cup...he just does not want to give up that bottle :)
-Favorite food: blueberries
-Favorite toy: anything his big brother is playing with
-Loves to snuggle with his blue anchor blanket
-Weighs 23 pounds
-Wears size 12 month clothes

Crazy Beau-Man

Beau is quite the life of the party these days.  He is always keeping us on our toes, making us laugh, and being the sweetest little boy ever.  Whether he is riding the golf-cart around the yard, dressing up in his pirate costume, or running around the house naked, he is always making us smile :)

Chuck E. Cheese

It was my mom and Dennis's anniversary yesterday, and they wanted to celebrate it by taking Beau and Banx to Chuck E. Cheese.  Sounds good to me!  It was their first time going and they were in Heaven.  Beau didn't know what game to start first.  I am guessing he will be asking to go again very soon :)

Science Center

To enjoy our last week of summer, Joe and I took the boys to the Science Center in Des Moines last week.  Obviously Baine is too young to enjoy it, but Beau had the time of his life.  They had everything there that he loves: legos, snakes, trains, craft table, tools, and rockets.  It was fun to see Joe enjoy this day with Beau...it was like seeing two kids playing together in a candy store :)

Beau could not figure out how he was showing up on the TV :)

Beau got scared and nervous when the news came on so he fled the scene :)

First IMax movie!!!

Still My Little Peanut

Even though Baine is growing like a weed and getting so big, he is definitely still my baby and loves night time cuddles.  He is getting to the point where he is perfectly content laying on your lap and I love that!

Girls Night Out

I have become extremely close with a few of my teacher friends.  We try to get together as often as our schedules allow us to have a girls night out.  Last Friday we went to the Blo Bar in Des Moines, walked around downtown, then enjoyed the night with a few drinks and dancing in the street :)

Not everyone could make it to Des Moines, so we had a follow up girls night for Mexican food and margaritas.  Any reason to get together works for me! :)

2 Years...

Saturday marked two years that we lost Baby Bruce.  I said this last year, but it is definitely a sign from God and Bruce that he is still with us in our hearts and in spirit.  The Hydrangea tree we planted where we buried Bruce comes into full bloom every year now, right in time for Bruce's birthday.  These trees aren't supposed to bloom every year, but Bruce's has.  How amazing is that?!  We love you and will never forget you, Baby.

Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean!

Kansas City was so much fun this past weekend!  Tim and Kim were not able to make it, so they let Joe and I go in their place----THANK YOU TIM AND KIM!!!!!!!!!  We rode down with Brook and Austin in the RV and made a little family getaway out of it.  We had a weekend full of bonding and just a hint of fighting ;).  We may live in completely different worlds, but we always have the best time together with Brook and Austin.  Thank you for inviting us :)
The last time Joe and I saw Kenny Chesney was in Dallas a few summers ago.  I still say it to this day, that was the best time I have ever had with Joe and we felt like we fell in love all over again there.  So seeing Kenny again was very exciting for us, and it didn't hurt that we were in front row!  We can't wait to see him again now.

One LONG Weekend Away

This past weekend, Joe and I went to Kansas City to the Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean concert.  This meant we were going to be gone from the boys since we didn't take them.  It was my first time ever being going from each of the boys that long.  It helped to know they were both in great hands, however my anxiety was at an ultimate high!
Beau left on Thursday to go to Kentucky with Papa and She-She.  He was such a good rider they told me and was perfectly content with the iPad or toys the whole way.  They went to pick up Rachel, and bring her back to Osky.  The anticipation of seeing Rachel helped him with the car ride I think :)
Baine could not handle a car ride like that, so he stayed home Friday night with Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Scott.  Then for the rest of the weekend we had Jade come to our house to stay with him.  Jade is so good with our boys and very cautious of them, so I knew Baine would be in good hands.  I was missing Baine quite a bit, so Jade kept me up to speed with sending me snapchats galore!  Thank you so much Jade for taking care of our little peanut!!!!! :)
