Baine: 1 Year Old

I just cannot believe that my baby is already one year old.  Time truly is going by too fast.  Baine has filled out hearts with more love than I thought was possible.  Being a mother to our two sons has truly been the best gift God has ever blessed me with (next to being a wife to Joseph).

Baine, you are the complete opposite as your older brother, and there is nothing wrong with that!  You are definitely my baby.  You REFUSE to take a sippy cup.  Whenever we give you a sippy cup, you will hold it, stare me right in the eyes, and throw it.  And keep doing it every time I give you the cup!   You just don't want to let go of the bottle.  And honestly, I am not ready for you to grow up yet, so I'm okay with the bottle...for now ;).  You are not walking yet.  Which surprise me because about two months ago you started walking around couches, and with toys, so we thought you'd be walking in no time!  But again, I am just fine with you wanting to be held because you are still our baby boy! 

Baine you are such a good baby, in every possible way.  You are always happy.  You constantly are laughing or smiling, even when you are battling an ear infection or teething.  You sleep about 13-14 hours every night, and still nap two times everyday.  You have never like a pacifier, which is also why you probably don't want to give up your bottle, and you have never sucked your thumb.  You do, however, have a favorite blanket, and whenever you see it, you grab it then dig your face into with while screeching.  It is the cutest thing ever.

As of this past week, you are now getting out of your crib!!!!  You are way too young to be doing that!  You are most definitely going to be our little monkey.  You love climbing on your toy truck, swinging, and playing "airplane".  You are quite the "motor head" according to Jodee and love rides on the 4-wheeler.  I am sure you will be asking your daddy for one as soon as you can!

Baine, you light up my day.  Your smile is contagious and constantly can turn my bad mood right around as soon as I see you.  Those big, brown eyes melt my heart and you most definitely have me wrapped around your little finger!  You adore your older brother and are always chasing after him to play right next to him.  Beau is so good to you and is very good at finding toys to share with you. 

You are my little peanut, beef-cake and baby all wrapped into one.  I never knew my heart could love as much as I love you, Beau and your daddy.  You are so special and no matter what, you will always be my "baby".  Happy 1st birthday, Baine-Joe.  We love you to the moon and back!
