Girls Day With Bankers

I wanted to treat Banx to a girls afternoon to just give her 1-on-1 time and actually, just to spoil her :) I have gotten her addicted to getting her nails done with Aunt PP, and I love it. She'll always be my BFF. I told her to never forget that.

Just a Girl and Her Morning Paper

Isn't this how everyone has their morning coffee and reads the paper?? :)

Halloween 2019

We had a Black Panther, Spider-Man and a Princess this year for Halloween (Beau and Baine wanted to wear their costumes from last year--win for mom!!) It was a cold night for trick or treating, but Beau and Baine were tough and wanted to still go. Joe was a trooper and walked the around Rielly's block while Piper and I waited in the car-she still wasn't feeling well from her surgery.

Sunday Funday at Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Scott's

We spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Scott and Michelle having family dinner, playing games, and watching tv. Piper was getting restless being locked up in the house since her surgery, so it was nice for her to get out too :) We love our relaxing, lazy, days together.

They do love each other. They were so wiped from playing all day, they fell asleep on the couch on my lap, then after I left, Joe and I found them cuddled and holding hands while they slept. Sweetest sight ever :)

Beau's Bible Dedication at Church

Beau had his Bible Dedication giveaway at church today. It was so special to see him receive his Bible with pride and a smile on his face.

Piper's 1st Surgery

Thursday, Piper had surgery at Mercy (we really need to stop having surgeries there). She had ear tubes done and also tonsils and adenoids removed. She was a tough cookie and such a champ! The hardest part, which has been with all 3 kids when they had surgery, is when they get taken from me to go back to the operating room and they are crying and yelling for me. However, when Piper was all done and in recovery, she was completely calm and just wanted to be held. She was supposed to stay overnight in the hospital Thursday, but since she was doing incredibly well, they let us go home! She was doing great Thursday and Friday, but yesterday she really started to get in pain and in is now feeling it. She's still acting so tough and overall is doing great! Thank you to everyone for your warm thoughts and prayers :)

My 1st Tattoo

Well, it's official, I finally got my 1st tattoo. I have known for years I wanted a tattoo, I just didn't know for sure what I wanted or even where I wanted it. But for the past 2 years I have known for sure what I wanted---I just waited to make sure I wasn't making an impulsive decision or do something I would regret. Wednesday, I finally had my appointment (thank you Dena for making it for me and taking me) and I couldn't be more in love and proud of what I got. My old high school friend, Danny, did it for me, and he was amazing about all of it--even down to the alignment of how I wanted it angled on my arm because my mom always wrote at an angle. It was one of my mom's letters to me on my left forearm, and it will forever be a reminder to me to not forget my mom, her legacy, and how important she always will be to me. Also, my mom hated tattoos, and I as much as I tease that this was my last hoo-ray of making her mad ;), I also know deep down that she would be proud that I would want to be a walking memory of her wherever I go.
