Since Joe and were going to be away from the kids over the 4th, we decided to do our our mini fireworks at home and sparklers. The boys loved it and no one even cared it was July 1st and not July 4th :)

Thankful Thursdays
Joe and I love going up town to the Alley for Thankful Thursdays. I know I always get to see my good friend, Kim, while we are there. She is always making me laugh and see the best in every situation in life. Even though some think it's odd with our age difference, we truly have a special friendship and I just love her :)
2 Years
Her beauty was boundless and overflowed from the inside, out. She had a way of making those around her feel loved, secure, and important. I have loved hearing from so many people telling me stories about my mom and what impact she made on them. She was truly one of a kind. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, amazing Nana, and most of all a strong disciple of God. 2 years has seemed like 2 days and 2 decades all wrapped into one. Time passes, people move on, and some even forget her. To all of you who reached out, have been there to keep her memory alive, or have
just checked in, THANK YOU. My mom’s village is amazing and I am forever grateful💕
I miss you so much, mom. I do. I am learning how to continue living in this crazy world without you. Some days are better than others, and some days I barely make it out of bed still. However, those days are getting smaller by the count. It has been months since you have came to me in a dream. I know that is a sign from you telling me I need to be moving forward in life--not on from you--just forward. I am. I could use your help though. Beau still talks about you often. Even Baine will say a random memory from you house, swimming in your pool, or playing with the inflatables in your basement. We miss you. We haven't forgotten about you. We keep your memory alive. I promise you. I'll never forget your words to me. And I'll never forget you. You were my core. And to so many people, you were an angel to all of us. Love you and Miss you.
Mommy/Piper Date at Target
I took Piper to Target with me for a little date, and who doesn't want to dress to match Target?! She was all over the place there, wanting to touch everything and buy every toy. I guess I can't get too mad, that is me as an adult ;)
Boating Weekend with the Babysitters
We always try to take Kaylee and Abby with us as much as possible boating, and it so happened to work out on the weekend of my mom's anniversary. The girls are so sweet to me. They know me better than some of my own friends. They knew it was going to be a hard weekend for me, so they surprised me with the sweetest card and flowers ever. Then said to "enjoy the day" boating and they would take care of the boys--which is exactly what they did.
Baine Joe Updates
This boy, has totally stolen my heart and melts it everyday. He has made so much progress and growth over the past few months, so proud of you buddy! He starts pre-K this fall with Ms. Deb and Ms. Diane, and he is so excited. He looks up to Beau in almost everything he does, and he fights non-stop with Piper. He is my lovey, dovey kiddo right now. He tells Joe and I everyday how much he loves us or how much he missed us if he was gone from us. His speech is almost right where he needs to be and he hasn't been to O.T. in a few months. He still has his meltdowns, but that is just normal 4 year old tantrums and nothing to do with his hearing anymore.
This summer he has learned to accomplish two big milestones for kids: 1. He learned to swing on his own and pump his legs! and 2. He has learned how to swim with no water wings!!! He just up and started swimming the other week in the pool, above water and under the water. Such a little fish. Way to go, Baine Joe! :)
Nap Times With Papa
The kids love it when Papa randomly stops over. The other day, he happened to be here over lunch hour which is when the littles take their naps. He successfully was able to get both kids to fall asleep---he might have even snoozed off himself with Baine :)
