Christmas at Scott and Michelle's

For Christmas dad/night, we went to Scott and Michelle's. Beau loves it that Uncle Josh was home so he was more than ready to head out there! The boys quickly discovered their love for Nerf guns and became archeologists digging up fossils that Uncle Josh gave them :)

Christmas Morning at Home

Joe and I loved seeing the kids' excitement first thing Christmas morning. We left cookies, milk and reindeer food out the night before, and it must have worked because Santa came to our house! Santa helped arrange the presents from mommy and daddy into their piles of want/wear/need/read. Piper was so into opening gifts, it was the perfect morning to see her and her brother's eagerness to rip the paper. 

Flashback With Piper

I found this picture the other day of Piper--just melted my heart. She already looks so different from just a few months ago and is losing her "baby" features. SLOW DOWN TIME! 

Christmas Eve and Papa and She-She's

We spent Christmas Eve at my dad and Shari's this year. The kids had fun playing all day and definitely were in the "Christmas spirit" to open gifts. Piper was hilarious at opening her gifts and was just as excited to tear off the paper as she was to see what was in the boxes :) Beau got a new bike and TOTALLY rocked it learning to ride in a snap of a finger (who knew that all he needed was a bigger bike to master it?!) We ended the night with our tradition of going to the Candle light Christmas Eve service at church. The youth did a great job as always, and I definitely felt my mom there with me. It's the one "home" I can count on for always sensing my mom near me and comforting me.
