We did not tell the kids we were going to Florida for Christmas until two hours before we left for the airport! It was so hard to keep it from them, and a few slip ups happened but we recovered well ;) We just didn't want to get their hopes up in case someone got sick or travel plans fell through for any reason and all of the unknowns with COVID. But the kids were so excited when we told them. And this year we actually had a great flight down! No delays or anything. I don't know how that happened--but we'll take it!
