Charleston Trip: Day 2-Part II

After we were done at Magnolia Plantation, we went to the Slave Trade museum. We were silent the entire time we were int here. It was the actual building downtown where slaves were brought and auctioned off. Listening to tapes of those who survived slavery bought tears to our eyes, made our stomaches turn, and even angry that happened--and from our Dutch ancestors nonetheless.
After the museum, we just walked the streets, and then later on made our way to Rainbow Row--which I was so excited for! We also went to Patricia's house (we are huge Southern Charm fans). Walking around downtown and then making our way to Pineapple Fountain was just what our night needed. It was beautiful. The sunset was breathtaking. We walked by the water for quite awhile and just took it all in.
