Fishing Day
A Night Out on the Town
Seeing Grandma Connie
We didn't want to risk Connie getting sick AT ALL, so we left the kids behind with Scott and Michelle while Joe, Josh and I went to visit Connie. She was so happy to have us there and we enjoyed our afternoon with her. We don't know if she will remember us coming there, but the kids absolutely loved being able to FaceTime with her and see her---especially Beau.
Christmas Day
Christmas morning the kids were up and ready to open presents! They were so patient and waiting to open their gifts. I love seeing their excitement on their faces and watching them light up. That is my favorite present every year--seeing my kids so happy and filled with joy.
Baine made sure to remind us all that it was Jesus' birthday, so we needed to wish him happy birthday. I love that they know (or are learning) the real meaning of Christmas and that it's not just about gifts. We aren't quite there yet, but they will learn it in time as they get older :)
We spent the day lounging around the condo and letting the kids play with their new gifts. We watched movies, played Xbox with the boys, and painted. It was a great day to be together under one roof :)
Saying Goodbye to Floyd for the Year
Baine was SO EXCITED that Floyd left them a note saying that they were all able to not only touch him today, but hug him! They know how important it is to not touch Floyd otherwise he will lose his magic. Baine wanted to sleep with Floyd too, so I tucked Floyd in on a pillow right next to Baine :)
Christmas Eve: Busch Gardens
This year Grandma Chelle came with us to Busch Gardens. The kids were so excited we were going again because they absolutely loved it last year. We were thankful the park was open due to COVID, but they kept it safe and clean so it was able to open back up. The boys loved riding the rollercoasters and Piper is not understanding why she can't do the big kid rides yet---but I bet she will by the next time :)
