Pierson Party of 4, Checking Out!

It was the day last Sunday that we left to go to the hospital to be induced. I can't believe it was our last day as a family of 4, and about to become a family of 5. I was so anxious, excited, and nervous. While we were at the hospital the first night, the boys stayed at Nana and Den-Den's. Then they switched on and off at Grandma Chelle and Grandpa Scott's and Papa and She-She's.

Movie Night

As our official last family of four event, we took the boys to the Lego Batman movie. Beau loves going to the movies, and this was Baine's first movie outing. We were a little apprehensive about taking Baine, but we didn't want to exclude him from this. He proved us wrong! He did great during the movie...of course he needed popcorn and his own bag of candy :)

Last Weekend As a Family of 4

Last weekend was unbelievably beautiful. It was over 70 degrees, the windows were open, and the boys were outside playing on their fort and trampoline. Who would have thought we would be doing that in the middle of February?! Only in Iowa. As our time approached of becoming a family of 5, I felt incredibly blessed with our two sons already. I kept thinking, "I love them so much, how can I learn to make room for another?" But just as you do after having two, you easily make room for having three :)

Baking Day at Nana's

Last week Beau and I went to Nana's to do a little baking before Baby P arrived. Beau's favorite treat to make with Nana is Teddy Bears in a Bathtub. He LOVES to help in the kitchen and for you to try what he has made. I hope he always keeps this up ;)

Valentine's Dance at Church

Wednesday was our Valentine's dance at church. Last year, all Beau wanted to do was dance with Nana. This year, he was really bashful and wanted nothing to do with dancing. Must be his age? Baine loved sitting and watching everyone dance, and finally Beau decided to take interest in the fog machine. Maybe next year will be a better year for the Piersons to want to dance? However, I am not going to hold my breath :)

Valentine's Gift 2017

For the boys' Valentine's gift this year, they got their own fish tank to put in Baine's (and now maybe Beau's) bedroom. Baine LOVES Nemo and Dory, so all he talks about is fish. Beau was thrilled to pick out his fish and of course gravitated towards the glow in the dark fish. Baine got a gold fish that looked like Nemo and Mickey Mouse fish :) BOTH boys wanted to sleep by their fish last night. When we went to check on Baine, he had gotten out of his bunk bed and went and fell asleep on the rug in front of his fish tank. Beau decided that he wanted to sleep next to his fish too. So both boys slept right next to their fish, and didn't move an inch all night. I could not believe it when I went to wake them up this morning.

Sister Time

Brook, Austin, Joe and I all had to go to Des Moines Saturday for a bit, so Brook and I decided to quickly treat ourselves to a pedicure for Valentine's Day. It was the most relaxing pedicure I have ever had before! Of course while we hit the spa, the guys hit the bar around the corner. How convenient? :)
