He's a Shopper :)

Nana feeding Beau while Brook and I did some quick shopping at Gordman's.  No...she is not holding him WHILE we are driving for those of you who were going to give me a lecture :)

Thursday, Beau and I rode with Brook, Banx and my mom to Des Moines to do some quick shopping.  Beau was the perfect baby all day and loved shopping...well I'm assuming he did for now :).  While Brook and I sat up front, mom sat in the very back to "babysit' the babies while we did a few quick errands.  It was quite the entertaining road trip.

Photo Fun with Daddy :)

After Beau had his bath, Joe decided he would have fun taking pictures of Beau!  I have to admit, Joe is quite the photographer and edited quite the amazing pictures tonight on an editing website.  Once he is done with the pictures, I'll be sure to post them to share with you all!

Playtime with Banx

This afternoon, Beau and I went to Aunt Brookie's house to see Banx walk for the first time.  She did such a great job!! :)
Beau wanted to dress up with his "bow tie' onsie so he was dressed to impress today :).  Miss Banx was a hoot to play with, as always, and even tried to hold Beau for some fun photo shots that Brook and I wanted.  She did good for about 2 pictures, then decided she didn't want Beau to be in her photo shot anymore.  So, I made sure she got her OWN photos :).

Beau's Baby Shower at School!

Today, Beau had another shower...this one was held at mommy's school!  One of the teachers I work with, Stacey (above holding Beau), hosted a sweet shower for Abby and myself (Abby is another teacher at Osky Middle School who is expecting her first in January).  It was so fun to see several of the teachers again and to "show off" our little guy :).  They showered us with wonderful gifts that Beau is going to absolutely love once he starts playing with toys.  Thank you so much Stacey for the lovely shower and for all the hard work you put forth into it!!!

Spoiled by Grandma Michelle and Aunt Brookie

Starting from Day 1, I have not been a fan of using a pacifier and definitely not letting Beau put his hands/thumbs in his mouth.  Grandma Michelle and Aunt Brookie always seem to "sneak" his pacifier into his mouth when I'm not looking because they SPOIL him :).  As you can tell from the picture, he is getting used to sleeping with his taggie blankie and George the giraffe pacifier.  Thanks a lot ladies! :)

If you look close enough, you can see that Beau sleeps with one eye open.  He doesn't like to miss a thing!

Beau's First Photoshoot

Last week, we took Beau to Miss Amy in Newton to have his newborn pictures taken.  Amy just finished edited them and they are ready for viewing/ordering!  She did such an amazing job with Beau, capturing the most precious images I have ever seen.  It is going to be very hard to pick which photos to order!

To see Beau's pictures go to.......

Family Fun Day

Today was a family filled day for Beau!  He saw all of his grandparents today and had their full attention :)  This morning at church, he was spoiled by his Aunt Brookie and Nana.  Then after eating lunch with Nana, we went to Grandpa Scott and Grandma Michelle's for the rest of the day.

As soon as we got to Scott and Michelle's, Beau and I took a nice nap while Joe started the family "feast" of smoking ribs on the grill.  Once Beau and I woke up from our nap, it was family time!  Grandpa Gene and Shari ended up coming over to see Beau tonight too.

As you can see from the pictures on top, Beau FINALLY woke up towards the end of the night.  Grandma Michelle made Beau his "camp-out" seat on the pool table right in front of their big screen.  She thought the lights and sound would wake Beau up, but it did not until later in the evening.  Once he did wake up, he LOVED looking at the lights from the big screen and just stared at it...yes, Joe did have the Simpsons on TV, good thing Beau is too young to understand it yet :).

For those of you who don't know this yet, Butters (Joe's dog) is VERY protective of Beau.  Butters used to sleep in our bedroom every night, but now, Butters sleeps right next to Beau's bedroom door on the couch.  The last picture up top shows how close Butters likes to be to Beau...you can even see the little smile on Beau's face :)
