Baking Day During Quarantine

We tried doing as many activities as possible to keep the kids occupied and have fun during their month long quarantine---it was very hard let me tell ya! One day we did a baking afternoon. The kids love helping me in the kitchen when we bake, and it was a special treat day for making Halloween goodies. It might have been considered science and Baking 101 day for school too? :)

 

Piper Collins- Dress Up Queen

 It is no secret that Piper is quickly becoming a girly, girl. She LOVES to get new clothes, play dress up, and now asks to wear makeup (of course I say no). She told me the other day, "Mommy, I can't wait to be a grown up. Then I can wear pink and purple lipstick whenever I want." If she only knew the other million obligations that come with being an adult ;)

Halloween this year was different for most people due to social distancing and not as many people handing out treats, but it was definitely different for our crew. Since the kids were still in quarantine, they were not able to partake in trick or treat night :( We still dressed up though, and made our few rounds to Aunt Brookies and the grandparents! We definitely will have some making up to do next year for beggars night :)

 

Beau's 9th Birthday Party With Friends

We were FINALLY able to have Beau's birthday party with his friends (since our kids were in quarantine for a month due to being exposed to COVID). It was a beautiful day. The kids played outside jumping on the trampoline, playing 500, and just being kids. I loved hearing the constant giggles and seeing their smiles on their faces. 

Beau's request was worms in the dirt, since he doesn't like cake. But made sure that we also had a small cake to accommodate for his friends that don't like worms in the dirt. He is seriously the most thoughtful boy ever :)

Happy 9th Birthday, Beau Paxton!

 

Beau Paxton, how is it possible you are 9 years old?! You are halfway to an adult, and I just don't know how that is possible. You are the sweetest, kindest, most patience boy ever. Your love for your siblings is out of this world. However, your new love for your dog Koby might take the lead. We are so proud of you and the boy you are. I can't wait to see all the amazing things you do at 9!
