A couple of years ago, Joe and I started the tradition of having a Beau Day during the summer. Often, Beau's fun doesn't get to be a the full max to help adhere to his brother and sister's needs. So we always want to make sure he knows that his fun is a priority to us too, and what a great big brother he is. He rarely ever complains. He always is helping with Baine and Piper. And will often sacrifice something he wants to do, just to pacify the littles. How did we get so lucky with him?! It was a great day at Adventureland. There were NO lines, the weather was just right, and we were able to spoil Beau with our undivided love and attention. He even decided to be brave and ride the Monster---he was definitely more brave than me! :)

Sleepover at Aunt PP's
I LOVE when I get to have Banx and Bond over. They will often come play and stay the night, and the kids just love it. Last week we swam, played outside, built forts, and of course stayed up watch movies with popcorn :) How else should we have a sleepover?!
Daddy's Girl
It is no secret, that Piper prefers her Daddy at bedtime right now. And the main reason-Daddy lets her stay up late and cuddle with him on the couch. She knows she has him wrapped around her finger. :)
Pierson Family Reunion
For the past few years, Scott's side of the family has gotten together down at Rathbun for all the cousins to spend time and catch up. This year, the weather was perfect. The kids all loved being on the water together, playing basketball, and just seeing each other again. It was great seeing many of the family members and we can't wait to do it again!
Future Seed Salesman
Beau sold/is selling sweet corn again this year. And we are so proud of him for getting up early, going to work with daddy, and picking the corn. We have been teaching him about saving a certain percentage of his money, donating a certain amount to church, and then what is left over, is what can be his "fun" money. He has definitely been interested in it and has been so good about wanting to work and wanting to save. Hopefully this trait carries on with him for many, many years ;)
An Early End to Summer
With the horrible storm we were in a few weekends ago, our boat (and truck) ended up having more damage to it than we originally thought. The insurance company totaled the boat. Joe and the boys are so sad and upset. While this is truly a first world problem, and we are trying to put that into perspective for the boys, I do feel bad for them. Our family loves to boat and being on the water is one of our favorite pass times. They are pretty bummed our summer hobby is over now, but they will live ;) Joe, on the other hand, I don't think will get over this---kidding, kind of.
The storm that caused all of the damage to our boat, many other boats, and the marina, will honestly be a storm we never forget. I have never been so scared, and still can't believe none of us were hurt. We definitely had a special angel looking over us!
Sweet Corn Serenade
This year's sweet corn serenade was the perfect night! The weather was amazing (when normally it is too hot to enjoy anything). The kids and I had so much fun seeing friends, petting the animals, and the boys even wanted to ride the horses.
