Pella Pool Date With Cousins

The other week we went to the Pella pool with some of the cousins. The kids all did great, even all three of mine! Piper had no fear, of course, and Baine wanted to swim off on his own and make new friends---which totally shocked me! I love seeing them in the water and becoming stronger swimmers. Can't wait to do it again with Banx and Bond :)

Mouse Trap on the Deck

We have been taking full advantage of the beautiful nights this summer by being outside as much as possible. The kids are obsessed with board games, and are in a Mouse Trap kick right now. So why not play it outside, right?! 

Starting New Traditions

The week of mom's anniversary, Brook and I decided we wanted to do something to keep our mind off things and wanted Aunt Joi to come with us. We had a great girls afternoon getting pampered at the nail salon, and had to end it with a selfie. It quickly hit me in the car, that on that very day, two years ago, Brook and I took our last selfie with our mom. It wasn't a sad moment, honestly. It was almost a wave of her presence with us telling us to do something fun and just to remember her. So, that's exactly what we did. 

Iowa Cubs Game

 

My dad was able to get the Musco suite at the I-cubs game last month. I had never been before, so it was a fun first experience for me and the kids! It was the perfect day, the weather was great, and for the most part, the kids were awesome! (although they did manage to dump popcorn every minute all over the floor in the suite). Thank you so much Dad and Shari for the fun day!!!! 

Park Days and Lazy Pool Days

This summer is going by quickly--too fast. I can't believe I'm done to my last few weeks. The kids and I finally adjusted to our new routines of being home together, and for the MOST part, we are loving it :)
