Sunday we had the Fynaardt Christmas at my Grandma Betty's house. It was a beautiful day, and the kids ended up playing outside most of the day WITHOUT their coats :)

Christmas Baking Day With the Hugen Sisters
Saturday I went to Kathy's to help making Christmas candy with Dena and her sisters. It was a really bitter/sweet day. The last time I did this, my mom was there doing it with us years ago. It was so fun to be around the sisters and kids again and to spend time with everyone, I just really wish my mom could have been there laughing with me at their silly arguments :) But I must say, I love this family so much. We have all basically been family my whole life, and they are simply amazing. Piper was great and loved all of the attention she got. I am excited to get her going on this family tradition with us now :)
Decorating Grandma and Grandpa's Tree
Saturday, Baine and Piper helped decorate Scott and Michelle's tree while Beau was at program practice. They both loved it and actually did a nice job climbing the step-stool and hanging the ornaments. Good job kiddos :)
My Little Ham
Piper is getting SO FUN to take pictures of because she loves to pose and say "cheeee" for the camera. If I ask her if I can take her picture "yeah pease". She's loving to have her picture taken by the tree--someone is excited for Christmas I think!
Thankful Pumpkin
After seeing the idea on Pinterest, we did a "thankful pumpkin" this year in our house. As a family, we all gave ideas of things we are thankful for in our lives. I was proud of the boys for giving meaningful things to be thankful for, and not just "Stuff". Beau was very thankful for his family and for TAG at school, which warmed my heart as a math teacher :) Baine was thankful for toilets, his blankie, and snacks the most. I will be curious to see what all changes over the years to come.
Church Christmas Program 2018
Sunday was the kids' Christmas Program at church. Beau did a great job singing-we were all shocked he actually sang! Baine, however, did not want to participate. We were not so shocked about that ;)
