Summer Shenanigans With the Kids

We have tried staying active this summer, although it has been hard with a lot of things closed or partially open. So a couple of weeks ago I took the kids on the bike path for a "run". Little legs didn't last long, but it was a fun break to get out of the house and do a nature hunt. Beau, however, didn't find it as amusing ;)

Just a normal grocery outing for Baine. His 2 year old Halloween costume on while shopping for groceries. Who wouldn't wear that?!

Flashback to Living in London

It was 10 years ago this summer I was living in London with my good friend, Ashley, and with a group of new girlfriends. It was a summer of a lifetime and one I will cherish forever. I love seeing Facebook pop up memories of my time there and I wish technology was as advanced then so I would have more pictures :) I would love to go back there to visit again someday. I am forever grateful for the opportunity I had to go and hope my children want to do the same! 

Meet Komo

Aunt Brookie made a deal with Beau earlier this month. She told him, if he could go one week with no Nintendo Switch or iPad, she would buy him a lizard---he has been wanting one for months! Sure enough, he did it! So meet Komo. He is an Emerald Swift. He is truly beautiful: bright green and turquoise blue. We have yet to hold him because we are nervous he'll run off :) But Beau, Baine and Piper are enamored with him and love feeding him his crickets and checking on him hourly. Thank you Aunt Brookie for making Beau's lizard dreams come true :)

Teachers Camping Trip

Some of my close teacher friends and I went camping at Rathbun a few weeks ago. We were fortunate enough to stay in Betsy's RV (so it was really glamping :). We had the best time floating in the lake, grilling dinner, listening to music, and staying up late talking. I am so grateful for these ladies and love them to pieces :)

Remembering Nana

To honor my mom and the anniversary of her passing, I had lunch with Brook my Aunt Joi and Banx. Brook and I later that day went to Target to escape and just enjoy time together. Then we ended the night by TRYING to let off lanterns to her in the sky. Well, after one landed in the neighbors tree and almost caught it on fire, we decided we should change plans. So good thing Joe had sparklers on hand :)
