Road Trip With Daddy
Last week, Beau went on a road trip for work with Daddy. He rode over 8 hours in the truck, and was perfect for Joe. He had to pack his Spider-man lunch box full of snacks and of course Legos. He took two naps in the truck and never made Joe pull over to take a break. It is so fun to see him enjoying going to work with his daddy! I guess Joe has a future employee at Pierson Seed :).
Water Babies
BOTH boys love the water. If we are holding Baine by the water, he will start kicking and crying until you put him in the pool. He already knows where the water is at Nana's :). Beau has been practicing all summer. He can swim in the deep end with no water wings and swim to the shallow end. He can tread water for a little bit with no help. He almost has diving down. And did I mention how fearless he is?!
Pella Pool Day!
The other night we took the boys to the Pella pool. Beau had never been there before, so we thought he would love the kiddie area that had all of the little slides and kids toys in the shallow water. Boy were we wrong. All he wanted to do was to ride the big slides, go off the diving board, and swim in the deep end. Unfortunately, Beau was too short to do those things since you have to be a certain height. And in order to go in the deep end, they have to pass a swimming test by swimming the width of the pool three times without stopping. So the past week we have been practicing non-stop! Maybe by next year Beau can do the "big kid stuff" :).

Papa's Boys
Beau and Baine spend a lot of quality time with their Papa and She-She. Beau just loves to see all of his grandparents, and is always asking to see at least one of them. Whenever Beau and Baine go to Papa's, they know their routine. Toys downstairs, sand outside, bath time, and Papa/She-She wrapped around their little finger! :)
Zoo Brew
Joe and i went to the Zoo Brew with some friends the other week. Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like. Adults only are allowed into the zoo while enjoying different beers, food, dancing and fun. We even rode the train around the zoo :). It actually was a great time and can't believe this was our first time going. We will definitely go again!

Sleepover
We had Banx stay over for the night last week. We absolutely love having a house full of kids, and she is always so good for us. Her and Beau had a sticker party in the living room where they put on EVERY SINGLE STICKER they could find and put them all over their body. When it was time to go to bed, they both wanted to sleep together on the top bunk, which is smaller than the bottom bunk. Just goes to show how inseparable these two are. I hope it stays this way forever!
Our "Odd" Child
Beau's personality and sense of humor are flourishing these days. He is always doing and saying the craziest things. He loves to make us laugh and is always wanting to tell us funny jokes. On the way home from swimming the other day, I look back to see if Beau had fallen asleep. Nope. He was rummaging through his backpack with all of his toys and decided to wear his goggles while doing so. I asked him, "Beau, what are you doing?" "Nothing mommy, just trying on all of my cool toys." Oh boy :)
