Kindergarten Open House for Baine

 

Baine is SO excited to be in Kindergarten this year and be at Beau's big boy school. His teacher is Mrs. Jenkins, he we are all thrilled. Open house was a little different this year due to COVID and needing to social distance. But it went smooth and honestly was nicer than the huge crowds for normal open house night. We are so excited for you, Baine Joe! You are going to rock Kindergarten my man! :)

Baine Has Glasses!

Joe took Baine to his Kindergarten eye exam appointment last week thinking it would be a quick check up and sign off on some papers. 2 hours later, Joe calls me while I was at work saying "Paige, we're terrible parents. Baine needs glasses and we didn't even know". We both laughed. Baine was excited to pick out his glasses and of course wanted blue ones :) He looks so grown up in them, I can't even hand it! So far, he is doing a really good job with wearing them all day long and taking care of them. It better stay this way :)

 

Mini-vacation With Papa and She-She

While we took Beau to the lake for big kid weekend, Papa and She-She offered to keep the littles. Not only did they keep the kids, they took them on a mini vacation and fun getaway. They went to see the waterfalls in Decorah, visited the smallest church, stayed at a hotel and went swimming, and didn't get spoiled at all ;) Thank you so much Dad and Shari for doing this! You honestly always go over and beyond for all of the grandkids. Baine and Piper will always remember this trip :)

 

More Summer Lake Days

Our good friend, Houston, was back in town the other weekend. So we decided to have "big kid" weekend with the boys and let Piper and Baine go stay with Papa and She-She for part of it. It was fun getting to spend time with Houston, spoiling Beau for 1-on-1 time and relaxing at the lake. 

 

Kindergarten Boot Camp

 

Two weeks before school started, the elementary did a back to school bootcamp for each grade level. I was slightly nervous for Baine, but I had no reason to be as it turn out. He had a great time and loved painting rocks as his favorite activity :)

Selfies With my Mini-Me

Piper is always asking to take a picture, look at pictures, or be in a picture. The amount of silly, filtered or goofy selfies we have together is countless. I hope she stays in this stage for quite some time :)
