Happy Birthday, Daddy!

 

This weekend, we celebrated Joe's birthday in Des Moines with 12 of our close friends.  It was a great weekend out with friends and I'm so happy Joe was able to celebrate his birthday in style!  Even though we forgot to get a group picture for the night, the memories will last a lifetime :)

Tuesday was Joe's actual birthday, and we celebrated by going out to eat at Kaldera's.  Michelle ended up having the waiters sing "Happy Birthday" to Joe--he was very impressed! haha.  Of course Beau was dressed for the best for the occasion...he already likes to match his outfits like his mommy! :) 

Family Night at Uncle Alex's House

 

Joe decided that we are starting a tradition of having "family" day on Sundays with our close friends.  This Sunday was at Alex's house, and I just LOVE how Alex adores Beau and loves him :)  Beau is one blessed little guy to have so many "aunts" and "uncles" who love him!

Beau can now hold his bottle himself, and he gets quite upset if you try to take the bottle away from him!  What a big boy :)

Mmmm, Chocolate!

 Since Nana Jil had been gone for over a week on vacation, Nana, Aunt Brookie and Banx met us at Smokey Row so we could all get together.  Nana thought it would be a good idea to give Beau a "taste" of her chocolate shake--he ended up loving it!  I did not let him have more than a taste, but I can already tell Beau us going to have a sweet tooth like mommy :)

As Nana was feeding Beau, Banx had time-out for not listening to her mommy.  Bad, bad Bankers! :)

Regardless of how Grandma Michelle, Uncle Josh and Nana Jil feel, Beau is a true Hawkeye fan :)  Just look how excited and proud he is to wear black and gold! :)

He's a VERY Good Eater!

We started giving Beau actual baby cereal since we can't keep him full.  It's taking a little bit to get the hang of it...but he's finally understanding what to do with his tongue :)  As you can see, he gets a little messy!

4 Months!

Beau is 4 months old now!  He had his doctor appointment yesterday, and weighed in at 16 pounds and 27 inches long!  The doctor joked that Beau is a "Pella" baby since he is so tall :)  Sorry Dr. Bruxvoort, he is a Osky Indian through and through!

After his doctor appointment and getting his 4 month shots, Beau went to his first school dance/fun night!  He was my date and helped me chaperone at the middle school.  My students loved seeing Beau and they all wanted a chance to dance with him.  Beau stayed awake through the whole event and never cried!  He loved seeing all of the action and "dancing" to the music.  Baby Beau is too much like his daddy! :)
