Early out = Play day with Mommy!

Today we had an early out at school due to the road conditions, which meant I got to go home early to Beau!  When I picked him up from Miss Mary's, he was all smiles so I knew this was going to be an eventful afternoon!  As soon as we got home, we did our usual "mommy-Beau talk session" where we talk about how our days went.  Then we started playing in his activity jumper.  He loves jumping off of his feet and pushing every button on his activity set.  It is so fun to see how he loves to interact with others and toys.  Time is going way too fast!

One Busy Baby!

As we have always said about my niece, Banx, "she is very busy!"  Well, it looks as if Beau is following in his cousin's footsteps, or trying to :)  Lately he has been very active in: trying to roll over, talking non-stop!, jumping, standing when you hold him, and now he loves his Johnny Jumper!  Joe and I have to keep him entertained with something for him to do...if we don't--he'll let us know we're not doing a good job! :)

If you can tell, this is supposed to be a "jumping" seat.  However, daddy thought it would be fun to turn it into a swing for Beau.  So as I come walking towards Beau's bedroom, I find Joe on the floor pushing Beau.  Even though I was a little frantic at first, Beau absolutely loved it!  Looks like we have our hands full!

Is It Spring Already?!

With this weather being so beautiful the past few days, I was very delighted to get this picture via text from my sister while I had meetings today after school.  Apparently, Miss Mary thought it was too nice to be inside, so she bundled up the kiddos and took a nice stroll outside!  And I am so glad she did!  Beau hasn't been able to enjoy the outside very much since he has been born as it has been too cold for him.  He can finally get a feel for it now. 

As you can see, Banx (bottom of picture) is looking back to make sure her "baby" is right behind her.  It's so precious how much she loves Beau and always wants to kiss/smell him :).

My Mini-Me

Today was a pretty crazy day.  My students had a test that I thought was going to be challenging, so I was already in a bit of "stress" mode throughout the day.  Then at noon, I realized I had a meeting right after school!  I had no back-up plan for Beau, and Joe is very busy at work and at our new house right now, so he couldn't help.  So I did what any mommy would do....I picked up my son from daycare, and he became my little tag-along at my meeting.  Good thing my meeting was with amazing teachers who didn't mind and our curriculum director who absolutely LOVES Beau!  He was talking to everyone throughout my meeting and giving his opinion on grading papers and assessments.  He already is speaking his mind...oh, no! :)

Bumbo Lover!

We started Beau in his bumbo seat this weekend to see if he could sit up by himself---he can!  He is so strong, he needs this independence haha :).  He absolutely loves to sit in it and tell us stories from what he did at Miss Mary's that day.  Priceless.

I Believe I'll Just Rest Today

One of our favorite Grandma Peggy sayings is, "I believe I'll just rest today".  This is Beau's attitude here...if you can't tell :)  He is quite the the passive baby!

Our Growing Baby!

Last night "Uncle Alex" came over to watch football and hang out with his favorite baby.  As you can see, Beau is growing like a weed! :)  All of his pants are capris on him, and his belly pops out over his pants...I think we have an issue here :)
