I just cannot believe our baby girl is 3 years old. Honestly, how did that happen?! Piper Collins, you are the light of my life (along with your brothers) and I can't image our family without you. You definitely complete us and bring entertainment everyday. You love to boss your brothers, and think they are the cat's meow at the same time. You love babies and dogs, and all things "girly". You will not let anyone leave you without a hug or a kiss--I hope this never changes.

Teacher's Night
I truly love that some of my co-workers have become some of my dearest friends. We might have an age difference between us, but we are all old souls and immature at the same time ;) We needed this night out desperately a couple of weeks ago. It needs to happen more often.

Flashback of Beau and Nana: Valentine's Day 2017
One of Beau's favorite treats to make with Nana, were Teddybears in the Bathtub. For his Valentine party at preschool 3 years ago (and right before I had Piper) we spent the afternoon at my mom's baking and spending time with her. I wish I had more pictures from memories like this. I don't want to ever forget the special moments we did have. I hope Beau never forgets too.
Valentine's Day 2020
Joe and I don't really make a huge deal about Valentine's Day anymore. 1) We have 3 kids so we are exhausted ALL OF THE TIME! 2) We are getting older, and a romantic date night anymore is not getting 1,357 snacks or filling sippy cups all night long. It is putting on comfy clothes, watching TV, and sleeping in peace ;) Last year Joe and I tried to go out to eat, but our reservations were bumped so we just called it a night and drove thru Taco Johns instead. To keep the tradition going, what did we do on Friday for Valentine's Day? Joe, Beau and I had Taco Johns. Scott and Michelle had Baine and Piper overnight. And Beau had been home sick. So even though we don't overtop celebrate or do gifts, we most definitely have our hearts full of love and are so blessed to have our 3 kiddos to share it all with.
When looking through old pictures on V-Day, I found several old ones of Joe and I over the past 10 years. We have definitely changed! But I love looking back on them :)

Beach Day at Baine's Preschool
Last week Baine had Beach Day as one of his dress up days. Normally, he never wants to participate in themed days. However, he was all about this one! I was so shocked. He looked adorable and was so excited to show off his "beach shirt" as he called it :)
Girls Night
A couple of weeks ago Dena, her niece Kelcey and I met up for girls night :) We had a great time going out to dinner with the guys, enjoying our company, and just relaxing from a very overwhelming and stressful week. Cheers to many more of these nights in the future!

New Years Resolutions
I'm a tad late on setting New Years Resolutions, because normally I don't take them seriously :) But this year just feels different. It needs to be different. 2020 has to be the year for change. For good things to continue on happening. For mindsets to be set on growth rather than fixed. Uplifting others instead of judging. Putting personal happiness first over everything. I am so guilty with the last one. I am so used to taking care of everyone (just a normal habit from being a teacher and a mom I suppose). I need this year to get myself back in a good spot. Dena and I have been exercising together and going to Yoga classes---this has already made the world of difference. Joe and I are always so busy with our crazy life with 3 kids (we wouldn't have it any other way) but we just don't always take time for jus us. We both know we need to work on it. The balance of being a full time working mom is hard. When I give everything I have to my students at school, I am emotionally exhausted and worn down when I get home--which is not fair to my kids. And just the opposite, when I make sure I have overdo it with my kids at home, I feel guilty that I could have done more at school. Balance. 2020 is the year to find balance. I pray that Beau, Baine and Piper learn these lessons early on in life. I hope this year brings everyone happiness, good health, and great memories!
