At the end of August, Joe received the dreaded call he knew would be coming--his Grandpa Royce had passed away. As sad and heartbreaking as it was for him, I know he was so thankful we made the last minute decision to go to Florida earlier this summer to visit his grandparents and have them meet Baine and Piper for the first time. It was nice to see all the cousins together and to be there to support Connie in this difficult time.
Since I had never been gone from Piper for more than 24 hours before, I was NOT going to leave her behind, and we wanted Beau and Baine to stay home since Beau had just started school. Piper was truly the easiest baby ever on the plane ride, and throughout the whole trip. But we were expecting that! :)
