1st Time Driving!

The other night, we were working in the backyard by the fire pit and Beau kept getting into the pickup pretending to drive.  So, Joe thought we would actually let him try it.  And believe it or not, Beau was actually able to drive (not using the gas pedal) by himself! 

Autumn Acres 2013

Wednesday night was Church night at Autumn Acres.  Last year Beau was a little too young to enjoy everything, but he most definitely loved it all this year!  He first would NOT leave the corn-box.  I really think he could have stayed in there all night if I would have let him.  After making hotdogs and eating about six bags of fruit snacks, he was ready to go down the slide!  Nana was nice enough to take him down :)  After a fun tractor ride, picking corn with Uncle Austin, and a wagon ride with Banx, Beau was all tuckered out.  I can't wait to do it again next year!

Sleepover!

Last Friday, Banx stayed over at our house for a sleepover.  Joe and I honestly love having Banx around.  She is so sweet, polite, and so easy to take care of!  Not only is she a big helper around the house, she is a big helper with taking care of Beau.  I love seeing Beau and Banx's relationship grow and how fond they are of one another.  Beau's new name for Banx is "Banxie".  Too cute!

Since they kids got a little dirty from playing outside, they both decided they wanted to shower in the master bath.  Why wouldn't two kids want to play in a huge double shower?!

After getting all cleaned up, I treated them to some movie time with Mickey and Barney.  I couldn't believe that they both sat STILL while watch TV.  That never happens!

Can't wait for the next sleepover! :)

Stylin' Dude

One thing is certain, Beau loves clothes and shoes!  He is becoming very picky about what he likes to wear and if he does not like the outfit you picked out for him, good luck trying to get him to wear it!  The other  day I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said "new shoes".  I guess maybe I will have a shopping partner over the years after all :)

When we were getting ready the other night to go out to eat for my birthday, Beau definitely won the "best dressed" award in our group.  He helped pick out quite the stylin' get-up.  I think it is safe to say I had the most handsome date of everyone that night :)

25th Birthday

Sunday I turned 25...I honestly feel so old now even though I know I am not!  Normally, birthdays are a huge deal for me, but this year just seemed different.  One thing that just made my day, was this video I took of Beau.  My mom had taught him Saturday to say on his own "Happy birfday Mommy, I yuv you."  Best birthday present ever!

Beau truly loves going to the cemetery to feed the ducks.  He will yell "Here duckies, eat!"  His arm is getting pretty good from throwing bread too :)

HoneyCreek Resort Water Park

Last weekend, Joe thought it would be fun to take Beau to the water park at HoneyCreek.  Not only did Beau have fun, he did NOT want to leave!  He loved going down the water slides and landing on the big bubble mat.  He even did the water hop-scotch.  One thing is for sure, Beau is quite the fish!! :)

Drive-In Movie!

Two weekends ago, Joe, Brook, Banx, Beau and I went to the drive-in movie theatre in Newton.  It was the perfect evening---other than the fact poor Bankers got car sick on the way up :(  We had so much fun and Beau and Banx had their own little "play area" in the back of the Astro van.  Beau was so tired by the time the movie started, he started to act up.  So hopefully next year will be more exciting for him!

Best Friends Forever

Last week was a rough week for me.  We received some bad news about my dog, Macee.  She has been my companion for over 7 years and has definitely become a family member.   So to hear the news that she is terribly sick and there is most likely nothing I can do for her, just makes me sick to my stomache.  What is even harder for me is to see that Beau adores Macee just as much as I do.  Everyday when we come home he goes running into the house yelling "Ma-ee, where are you??"  I pray she has comfort and little pain as possible. 

Labor Day 2013

For Labor Day weekend, we spent out time at the lake.  Beau was a hoot as usual and just loved hanging out with everyone in the water.  Maybe he'll be ready to actually ride the tube next year instead of just playing on it! 

Alex and Gina came down for a day and were able to double ski!  Pros!

Chip Lover

Lately, Beau has developed a new love for chips!  I think he gets this from his Grammy Chelle!  Whenever we go to the grocery store, the only way he will sit still in the cart is if he gets his own bag of chips and eats them RIGHT AWAY!  Even when we go out to eat, Beau thinks he needs his chips!
